MINDFUL LIVING MEMBERSHIP

Over the course of a year, this membership provides clients with monthly one hour private sessions with Monique, access to weekly group meditation, yoga and/or guided relaxation sessions, and a variety of other types of wellness workshops and classes.

Private Mindfulness Coaching sessions are tailored to the needs of each client, and Monique uses a variety of approaches depending on what is necessary at any given time. Here are a list of some of what happens during a session:

  • discussion
  • guided relaxation
  • visualization
  • introduction of mindfulness, self-hypnosis, or hypnotic techniques
  • development of a life plan
  • and much more

  • 12 one hour Mindfulness Coaching sessions valued at $1800 ($150 an hour when not enrolled in a program)

Each program is tailored to individual client needs and goals.

Monique accepts four clients per month into this program. 

Sessions take place Monday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. The time slots include 9 – 10:15 am, 10:30 – 11:45 am, 1 – 2:15 pm, and 2:30 – 3:45 pm.

All program sessions are to be used during the designated month.

Ready, Set, Awake!

When did I first awaken? Every time I ask myself that question, I get a different answer. Of course, when I speak of awakening, I mean becoming consciously aware and fully present in my life–not just waking up in the morning.

Or, as Oprah would say, experiencing an “Aha!” moment.

The truth is, like so many others, I have had many awakenings.

Unfortunately, that also means that throughout various periods of my life, I have been, at least figuratively, deeply asleep.

I have been a slumberer.

Perhaps even, a sleep walker.

I apologize to those whom I have met at those times.

I am here now, though, fully awake and present, with my arms raised high in a major V for victory. I’ve made it to the finish line, so to speak. I’ve kicked my smoking habit, I no longer drink alcohol, I meditate, I ponder, I wander, I read, I write, I’m almost vegetarian, I quit my day job to pursue my dream, and I want to save the world.

The new question is…can I remain awake and fully present…FOREVER? Can I stop having to run this mindfulness race all over again? I’m tired of waking up at the START line. I want a trophy that says, officially and perpetually, I AM HERE!

The truth is, I live in the real world, which is still full of clear and present dangers in the forms of corrupt capitalism caused by corporate greed, constant wars caused by corporate greed, and natural disasters caused by climate change caused by corporate greed…

The truth is, I was born in the middle of the Make Love Not War and Burn Your Bras movements, but grew up in and have been influenced by the conservative backlash.

I am a product of the 20th Century negotiating my way through the Age of Aquarius, and that poses some challenges even though I have always identified myself as a tree hugging, people loving liberal.

So, I AM HERE, again, in the 21st Century. I am fully awake at the age of 51, and trying to reconcile the old with the new, trying, as Gandhi counselled, to bring into harmony what I think, what I say and what I do…
