I am a gatherer. I have gathered years of experience as a teacher, published writer, and consulting hypnotist, with a growing understanding of the unconscious mind, Buddhist psychology and Mindfulness Meditation.
Ultimately, my wish is to bring people back to that open space within themselves so that they can meet life’s challenges in the healthiest, most fulfilling way.
I have a B.A. and a B.Ed. and taught Creative Writing for over 25 years before turning to full time work as a hypnotist in June of 2015. I’m a published poet and edited a local arts magazine for about 10 years. I just started a self-help blog called Life Lines.
I’m also a certified yoga teacher and have completed levels 1 and 2 in Emotional Freedom Techniques in the fall of 2017. I began my EFT Practitioner Training on January 15, 2018.
I’m currently a registered Consulting Hypnotist and a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists which is the oldest and largest hypnosis organization of its kind.
Professional membership in the NGH signifies that a person has specific qualifications, agrees to abide by a strict code of ethics, and will pursue continuing education studies for annual recertification.
Consulting hypnotists help ordinary, everyday people with ordinary, everyday problems using individual hypnotic techniques.
I finished my initial hypnosis certification on October 12th, 2012 with clinical hypnotist and mentor Irina Benoit. I’ve since taken advanced training in age regression, imprints removal, pediatric hypnosis, and smoke cessation.
I received a Certification in Clinical Hypnotism, a thirteen month advanced training, on April 9th, 2015. I completed my training in HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method in June of 2015. I’m also an official THINNER BAND HYPNOSIS® practitioner.
As well, I have hypnosis training in Coping with Cancer and Care for the Caregivers through the NGH, and Pain Management through the American School of Clinical Hypnotism.
